For Professionals

Protecting The Families Professionals Refer

When a Realtor, attorney, title professional, or community organization refers a family to NEPEX, they are trusting us with that family's financial interests. These are the standards we hold ourselves to — every referral, every time.

No Pressure

Families referred to NEPEX will never be pressured. No time-limited "special offers." No manufactured urgency. No calls to sign before they understand what they are signing. Every family will have the time they need to review, ask questions, and make an informed decision. If a family decides not to proceed, we respect that decision — immediately and completely.

No Fake Guarantees

We do not promise recovery. We do not tell families they definitely have money coming. We do not use language like "you may be entitled to" in a way designed to create false expectations. Recovery is never guaranteed. Eligibility is never guaranteed. Every case is different. We say so plainly, in writing, throughout the process.

No Misleading Claims

NEPEX does not represent itself as a government agency, a court affiliate, or a law firm. We do not send correspondence designed to look like official government notices. We do not imply that we have access to "held" funds or that families must act immediately to preserve their rights — unless that is factually supported by the specific deadline circumstances of the case. All communications are clear, honest, and accurately identify who we are and what we do.

No Interference With Attorney-Client Relationships

If the family you refer already has legal representation, NEPEX will not interfere with that relationship. We will not solicit families who have existing legal counsel for their excess proceeds matter without that attorney's knowledge. We will not attempt to convince families to abandon existing legal representation. Referring attorneys retain their client relationships — NEPEX supports them, not supplants them.

No Government Impersonation

NEPEX is a private educational and referral organization. We are not a government agency, we do not have government authority, and we will never communicate in a way that implies government affiliation. Any correspondence from NEPEX clearly identifies us as a private organization.

Clear Documentation Standards

We do not ask families to sign anything until they have received a clear explanation of what they are signing. All agreements presented to families are explained in plain language. Fee arrangements are disclosed completely and in writing before any commitment is asked. Families are encouraged to have an attorney review any agreement before signing.

Consumer-First Education

Every family begins with education — not a sales pitch. We explain what excess proceeds are, how the process works, what documentation is needed, and what the realistic range of outcomes looks like. We recommend that families read our Before You Sign Anything guide before engaging with any recovery service — including NEPEX-coordinated referrals.

Attorney Independence

Attorneys in the NEPEX referral network are independent practitioners. NEPEX does not direct attorneys, control their legal decisions, or interfere with the attorney-client relationship once a referral is made. Attorneys exercise independent professional judgment in every matter they accept.

Honest About Limitations

We serve specific types of matters well and others less so. If a referred case falls outside our area of focus, we will say so honestly rather than accepting the referral and providing poor service. Not every situation qualifies for attorney referral. We will tell you and the family when that is the case.
